Request access
New Mjolnir accounts are requested with the User application form. The Account request link in the main navigation on mjolnir-ucph.dk brings you to this page.
Before you submit#
Check Who can use Mjolnir? first. You need a KU-ID and an affiliation with a PI — requests are confirmed with the PI before an account is created, so a request that cannot be matched to a PI cannot be approved.
The form asks for:
- Your full name
- Your UCPH-ID (KU-ID)
- Your UCPH email address
- A secondary email address, which cannot be a ku.dk address, and which of your two addresses Mjolnir should use for its own messages such as newsletters and maintenance notices
- The PI you are affiliated with, chosen from the form's list
- A start date and an end date
Emails from central UCPH systems and UCPH-IT always go to your UCPH address. The secondary address is also how you can be reached about any data left on Mjolnir after your account is closed.
What happens next#
- You submit the form.
- The request is confirmed with the PI you selected.
- Once the PI confirms, your account is created.
Note Approval depends on PI confirmation, so the request is not instant. If your request is time-critical, tell your PI to expect it.
After your account is created#
Continue to First 15 minutes on Mjolnir, which takes you from connecting for the first time through to running and inspecting a job.
You will need the UCPH VPN before you can connect — see VPN and SSH access.
